Gina and Robin love going to Pizza Farms. Here are some of the things we have learned over the years. For most of the Pizza Farms these are true. Of course, there are a wide variety of venues and checking each farm’s website for information and FAQs is recommended.
- Bring chairs and/or blankets
- Bring snacks to go with your pizza
- You (usually) can’t bring beer or wine or any alcohol if the Pizza Farm is in Wisconsin, but you can bring La Croix in any state
- Bring napkins, knives in case the pizza doesn’t get cut all the way, forks for anyone who eats pizza with a fork, and spoons in case you make it to the pie shop in time (non-disposable ones are best, since you have to take them home anyway, because you can’t leave any garbage on the farm, which brings us to-)
- Take out everything you take in
- No pets
- Bring some bags for your garbage and recycling
- If you are along the Mississippi River, keep an eye out for eagles!
- Bring a fold up wagon if your parents give you one
- Celebrate your birthday there
- Celebrate the Ides of March there
- Invite your friends
- Going during the peak season is fun, but trying out the beginning or end of the season is also very special and in some ways even more enjoyable
- Celebrate New Year’s there
- Ride the blue bikes
